WATERCOLOUR RENDERING
If a design needs to be more conceptual than photoreal, looking less like a CGI and more like a rendered drawing or painting, then a watercolour effect may come in very useful.
When you don’t want to get locked into an exact design, or your design is still being developed, using 3D watercolour CGIs or renderings can be a great way to show your initial concepts or ideas. With our watercolour or conceptual 3D renderings, also called watercolour renderings you can relay a basic concept or idea.
A watercolour image could be considered a sort of 3D drawing. In times past, 3D renderings were done by hand and were also known as 3D Perspective drawings or perspectives and were done with either ink or paint. Whilst we use the same process to create a 3D photorealistic CGI or rendering, we have an added extra step as part of the 3d visualisation production process, which allows us to create a watercolour image or a rendering which looks like it was done by hand.
Our watercolour rendering process is different to a lot of work you would see from a competitive 3D design company because we have developed many 3D Rendering techniques to take a photoreal CGI and turn it into an image that looks more like a painting or drawing than a high-end photoreal 3D rendering.
This process allows you to have a high-quality 3D rendering which is not photoreal but looser so as to invite the client to imagine what it is you want to create without being locked into exact materials or finishes. This is all part of the 3D design service.
